Stencil Creator & Generator

This free stencil creator makes crisp stencil-style graffiti letters with proper bridges and clean counters — the language of street stencils and spray-paint posters. Export a PNG for mockups or a vector SVG you can actually cut.

How the stencil generator works

Choose the Stencil style in the rail, type your word, and the canvas redraws it as layered cut-out lettering: thick strokes, open counters and the bridges that keep every shape connected. Fill color, stroke weight and shadow are all adjustable while you watch.

The export is a true vector outline, not a bitmap trace. That matters for stencils more than for any other style — cutting software and vinyl plotters need clean paths, and a scaled-up screenshot gives them jagged edges instead.

What makes stencil letters read well

A stencil is a sheet with holes, so every letter must stay in one piece. That is what bridges are for: small gaps that interrupt a stroke so the middle of an R or an O does not fall out. Good stencil lettering keeps bridges consistent in width and places them where the eye expects a break.

Negative space does the rest. The hole inside an A or a P should read as clearly as the letter itself, which is why stencil styles favour wide counters and few decorative flourishes.

From screen to spray paint

Export the SVG, print it at full size, and you have a cutting template — cardstock for a one-off, mylar if you want the stencil to survive a whole wall. FAQ

What is a stencil generator?

It is a tool that renders words in stencil lettering — bold, cut-out shapes with bridges that keep each letter connected, the way real spray-paint stencils are built. This one draws true vector outlines you can print and cut.

Is the stencil generator free?

Yes — every control and both export formats, no sign-up and no watermark. Rendering happens entirely in your browser.

Can I use the output as a real cutting template?

Yes. Export the SVG and print it at any size without losing sharpness — the paths stay clean, which is exactly what craft cutters and vinyl plotters need.

Can I use the letters commercially?

Yes. The letterforms come from openly licensed typefaces, so the artwork you export is yours to use, print and sell.
