What this site is, what it is not, and the limits of the information published on it.

This is a design tool

Graffiti Art Generator is a browser-based tool for designing lettering artwork. It exists to help people make things: artwork for screens, prints, clothing, packaging, logos and personal projects.

It is not a guide to marking property you do not own, and nothing on this site should be read as encouragement to do so.

On painting walls

Marking property without the owner’s permission is unlawful in most jurisdictions and can carry serious penalties. Nothing published here is intended to assist with it.

If you want to paint a real surface, the route is the one every working muralist uses: identify the owner, ask for permission, and get it in writing. Legal walls, community mural programmes, youth arts organisations and commissioned mural work exist in most cities for exactly that reason, and they are how most people get access to their first large surface.

The written content

The style guides, letter notes, tutorials and history pages on this site are provided for general information and educational purposes. They describe letterform construction and the documented history of the practice as commonly understood.

While reasonable care is taken to be accurate, no representation or warranty is made as to completeness, accuracy or suitability for any particular purpose. Historical accounts of an informal, largely undocumented practice necessarily vary between sources, and where they do, this site reflects the widely documented version rather than settling disputes.

Not professional advice

Nothing on this site constitutes legal, financial, tax or professional advice. Questions about the legality of any particular act, or about intellectual property in a particular jurisdiction, require a qualified professional. Do not rely on this site in place of that advice.

On licensing and commercial use

The licences covering the typefaces used in this generator are open-source and permit commercial use of your exported artwork. That statement concerns the typefaces only.

It does not cover anything else that may apply to your particular use, including trade marks, the rights of others in similar designs, or the requirements of a marketplace or client you are working with. If your project involves a brand, a logo or a regulated product, take advice on that separately.

Third-party content and links

This site is supported by third-party advertising and may link to external websites. Advertising content is supplied by third parties and its appearance here is not an endorsement. External websites are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and this site has no control over and accepts no responsibility for their content or practices.

Accuracy of the tool’s output

The generator renders letterforms from open-source typefaces with a set of geometric transformations applied. Rendering may vary slightly between browsers and operating systems, particularly in how gradients, filters and grain are rasterised.

If precise output matters to your project — for example for a screen print or a cut file — always check the exported file in the application that will consume it before committing to production.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, this site and its author accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from use of this site, from reliance on its content, or from any act or omission taken on the basis of it. Use of the site is at your own risk. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
